Letter from the TVCTL Sectretary Chris Hassett 30th January 2007

The 2007 Annual General Meeting of the TVCTL was held recently.
The Committee is pleased to welcome a new club into the League this year - Clynderwen. For your attention, a list is shown below of the dates in respect of each of the League shoots planned for the coming season.
You will know that all League competitors need to register with their club representative. Please help by registering as soon as possible, in advance of the start of the competition. In the individual classes, your best 5 scores will count this year. For those club members who are unable or unwilling, for whatever reason, to register in the TVCTL, please note that you are still able to shoot at any of the vents, as a visitor. Give it a go - you may become inspired!
There are other challenges available to test your shooting skills. Why not compete in the Welsh Selection Trials? For that, however, you will need to be a member of the WCTSA. Last year there were four Welsh Internationals who regularly shot in the League.
The TVCTL is always looking for more competitors and more clubs. If you have any thoughts on these matters, please contact the Secretary. If there are non-shooters reading this web page who think they would enjoy clay target shooting, then also please contact the Secretary, who will put you in touch with a club local to you.
I will take the opportunity to remind all competitors that the TVCTL shoots are run under the WCTSA rules. These require that adequate eye protection and ear protection is worn in and around the stands. The referees will be rigorously enforcing this requirement this year, irrespective of weather conditions. Further, all spectators should be suitably equipped. Please help the 2007 season to be a success by complying with the rules.
Good shooting.
